Customized personal travel
Interested in one of our trips, but prefer a different departure date?
We can customize each one to suit your interests and schedule. You choose
when you want to go, and with whom, and we'll do the rest. Most trips can
operate at about the same price quoted for our group departures for as few
as two guests. So if you cannot make one of our scheduled departures, let us
schedule one for you!
Customized travel for your group
Having worked with groups like
the Greater Seattle Business Association, Mature Friends and others,
we are experienced at creating
group travel to suit your schedule and budget. Yours can include group air,
lodging at the location and price you prefer, group ground transportation,
airport transfers, even unique excursions and a Journey Out Tour Director.

Michael Brooks
is celebrating a five-year love affair with France. Traveling around the
globe, he has bicycled in Bangkok, basked in the glow of Collioure, been
awestruck by the Taj Mahal, walked the labyrinth at the cathedral at Chartres,
and given presentations at conferences in Bombay. His favorite souvenir: a fountain pen. "I love the feel of a finely-crafted pen in my hand," he says, noting each pen
in his collection comes from a different journey. Michael has experience
in entertainment, finance and information technology. He has held senior
management positions at international corporations and has been a successful
entrepreneur. For six years he was an international information
technology consultant, with expertise in software engineering process
standards. He has traveled extensively for work and pleasure, and speaks
French. He is currently a
candidate for the Travel Institute's certification as a Destination Specialist
in France, recognized by the French Tourism Board. Michael is
the founder of Journey Out, and
responsible for planning and overseeing its day-to-day operation.
Jeff Crandall
earned his Bachelor of Arts in Poetry from the University of Washington. He is a glass artist, poet and the mastermind behind InVerse Studio. His
"Poet’s Bottles" and "Spheres of Influence" series

His award-winning first book of poetry, The Grief Pool, is
published by Firestorm Press, and his individual poems have been published in
journals across the country. Jeff serves on Journey Out's Advisory
Board. He is also Editor of
Floating
Bridge Press, a non-profit literary arts organization in Seattle.
Kayleen Dunson
is founder of
Blue Verve Communications,
a Seattle-based firm with over 12 years experience in business communication,
marketing and training. She specializes in energizing people and
messages. Her wildest travel story is about the time she sipped vodka
and ate cranberries by the spoonful with six Russian soldiers from midnight to
6:00 a.m. on the Trans-Siberian Railroad. Ask her to show you the signed
epaulets from their uniforms sometime.
Kayleen is a seasoned speaker, and exudes class and positive energy wherever
she goes. She serves on Journey Out's Advisory Board and as Tour Director for
our women's trip to Italy.

Nancy Brown Toland
received her Masters of Science from
Clemson University in South Carolina. She works as an application analyst at Starbuck's
worldwide headquarters in Seattle, doing program management and solving
real-world problems using a variety of analytical tools. An excellent
communicator and avid reader, Nancy is skilled at helping groups work together
toward a common goal. Outside of work, she and her husband enjoy
spending quality time with their young daughter, whom they hope to enroll soon
in a French bilingual pre-school. Nancy serves on Journey Out's Advisory
Board.
