Sunday |
Depart from
Ft. Lauderdale, Florida |
Get ready to set sail for
the sunny Eastern Caribbean aboard Holland America's ms Westerdam. The ship
leaves the dock at 5:00 p.m. After settling into your stateroom, join
your fellow travelers for a welcome aboard party. |

At Sea |
A great day to
enjoy all the ms Westerdam has to offer. Swimming pools, sauna, jacuzzi, a
quiet library, Internet café, and, of course, great
food throughout the day. This is a great spa day. Can't decide what to do? Then just take your time
today to slow down . . . |

Tuesday |
Grand Turk,
Turks & Caicos |
Named for the fez-like scarlet
blossoms of the cactus that grows here, Grand Turk is a pristine place of
simple pleasures. Float dreamily over vibrant coral reefs, dine on conch
fritters, set your watch to "island time." Sample shore excursions offered
by the cruise line: 4-wheel-drive Safari; Horseback Beach Ride & Swim; Dune
Buggy Safari, Hop-on Hop-off Island. |

Wednesday |
Road Town, Tortola |
Tortola is an
island you'll want to explore in a bathing suit and a sarong. The beaches
are numerous, but if you must choose only one, make it Cane Garden Bay,
snow-white and lapped by azure seas. Be sure to snorkel at "the Baths" on
Virgin Gorda
– a collection of
boulders that nest in white sand and create an underwater labyrinth.
And it's Thanksgiving. Tonight
you're celebrating in the grandest style. A five-course dinner with your new
friends. In the mood for turkey and dressing? Enjoy the traditional. Or
choose something completely different. Whatever your feast, remember your
friends back home and give thanks for sun, sea and sand! |

Thursday |
Philipsburg,
St. Maarten |
On an island
under two flags, sample the Dutch treats of Philipsburg: chocolate, cheese,
delftware. On the French side, linger over bouillabaisse and shop for
Parisian perfumes.
St. Maarten bills itself as
"a little European . . . a lot of Caribbean." It is the smallest Island in
the world to be shared by two sovereign governments – the Dutch and French.
The Dutch side occupies the southern 17 square miles of this 37-square-mile
island; St. Martin, a French dependency, occupies the northern half. The
dual nationality adds variety to this most unique of island gems in the
Caribbean Sea. Both Dutch St. Maarten and French St. Martin have maintained
a peaceful coexistence for over 350 years, the longest of any two bordering
nations.
Both sides of the island
invite you to visit. There's plenty to do. Join a sailboat race on a genuine
America's Cup vessel, or scuba dive in glassy waters with fish of all hues. |

Friday |
At Sea |
More time to
relax. It is your vacation, after all, and today you have no commitments. No
plans. So you have plenty of time to follow your nose. Stroll the ship.
Settle into a deck chair to catch some rays. Swim. Catch a movie in the
onboard theater. |

Saturday |
Half Moon Cay, Bahamas |
When was the
last time you whiled away the day on a private Caribbean island? Here's your
chance. The island is ours; the day is yours to sun, swim, and sail. Go
snorkeling, scuba diving, even deep sea fishing. Enjoy! Tonight our group
meets for a special farewell reception and dinner together. |

Sunday |
