For centuries, Italy has lured our greatest lovers,
artists and poets with its natural beauty and
languid pace. The good life, or "la vita Italia,"
can be yours as well. Join Journey Out and
experience Italy for yourself. Whether it is your
first trip to Italy or your tenth, we will show you the
absolute best of Rome and Tuscany. La Vita
Italia, indeed.
No city in the world is as beautiful as
Rome, and few as glamorous. A chaotic
labyrinth of ancient and new streets,
Rome is truly a cosmopolitan city.
Romans, always looking gorgeous and
perfecting their dolce far niente, are feverishly
attached to this, their "Eternal City."
Tuscany is a land sculpted by man and
nature to be as productive and a beautiful as
possible. Its rows of vineyards winding around rolling
slopes dotted with dark green cypress trees and
burnt umber sienna farm houses, castles aged by
nature, and corners sprinkled with wild flowers.
Tuscany is also the heart of the Italian
Renaissance. It produced unique architecture,
painting, and sculpture and you can find famous
museums even in the smallest cities. In Tuscany you will
find Roman ruins side by side with gothic
structures. It is said that the mixture of
structures and landscapes give the natives of
Tuscany a special artistic sense unlike anywhere
else in the world. They call it the “Tuscan
Miracle.”
Tucked away to the west and south of Tuscany are
dozens of small hill-towns that, for many, epitomize
the region. San Gimignano is the best-known, and is
worth visiting as much for its spectacular array of
frescoes as for its much-photographed bristle of
medieval tower-houses. Be sure to enjoy a special
wine tasting of some of the best wines of the
region.
Come
with Journey Out and see the sights, sounds and
flavors of Rome and Tuscany unfold like a gradual
crescendo into a splendid harmony, a celebration of
life!
La Vita Italia!
